I was born in Brazil to Dominican parents. They made their way back to the “Half-Island” soon after I was born to bring me up under the Caribbean sun.

My father was a photo enthusiast. His old Minolta was always accessible, but my own interest in photography did not bloom until high school when I was exposed to the iconic photos of Domingo Batista.

I discovered street photography while spending a year in Sweden prior to studying Mass Media and Communications in my native Santiago. I then secured a coveted photo journalistic internship at “La Información”, the oldest newspaper in the Dominican Republic.    

Upon completion of my degree, I moved to Madrid, Spain to attend the prestigious film school, Séptima ARS. It was there that I learned to tell stories through images while earning a second Bachelor of Arts. 

In 2012 I relocated to New York City where I lived and worked for the last ten years in established corporate photo studios. Specializing in portrait photography, while simultaneously shooting on film the streets with no name in the city that never sleeps.

Most recently I relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, living and working between NYC and Music City.
